Pet Licensing Information
Licensing is required for all dogs and cats over 6 months of age who live in Spokane County. A pet license has many benefits to the owner, animal, and the community...
- A licensed pet is one that can be returned to the owner- the license is the pet's phone call home.
- Owners of licensed pets are eligible to receive a spay/neuter voucher-which is a dollars off coupon that helps pay for the cost of this procedure. The vouchers are accepted by all local veterinary clinics.
- The law requires that all dogs and cats be currently licensed. Owners of unlicensed animals may receive a $200 fine.
- Fees from licensing helps fund important animal protection services, adoption programs, and reduce the euthanasia of adoptable animals.
